Product compliance

EN12830 certified

Tapp’s temperature label has been independently tested and certified according to EN 12830:2018. This standard verifies key performance criteria for temperature monitoring, including measurement accuracy, response time, clock accuracy, environmental resistance and overall performance under transport and storage conditions.

Calibrated for accuracy

The chips in Tapp temperature labels are calibrated and validated according to ISO/IEC 17025 procedures, supporting accurate, repeatable and traceable temperature data throughout the product lifecycle.

RTCA/DO-160G tested

Tapp’s label has been tested according to RTCA/DO-160G Section 21 for radiated RF emissions. The test report confirms that the labels passed the applicable emission requirements for airborne equipment.

Quality management

Tapp operates according to documented quality procedures for product development, production, testing and traceability. Each label follows a controlled process to support consistent performance across shipments.

Our quality management approach supports:

  • Consistent production
  • Documented testing
  • NIST traceability
  • Product traceability
  • Continuous improvement

Battery and transport compliance

Tapp labels are powered by flexible zinc-manganese dioxide batteries. These batteries are lithium-free and are not regulated as dangerous goods for air transport under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Special Provision A123.

In practice, this means:

  • No lithium batteries
  • Not restricted for air transport under IATA DGR SP A123
  • Simplified documentation and handling
  • Safe in normal use within the specified operating range
  • Suitable for global logistics operations

Certified recyclable

Tapp labels use PaperWise, a tree-free paper made from agricultural waste. The paper-based label material is certified recyclable and supported by multiple PaperWise quality marks and environmental certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and compostability standards.

The material has been evaluated for recyclability within standard paper industry preparation. Local disposal and recycling requirements may vary by country or region.
